I had my USB plugged in for about 10 seconds before I started seeing smoke from somewhere. When I went to pull it, it was hot. I haven't dared to plug it in again.

RE: CR-6 SE autolevel keeps pressing printhead in the middle
I have been in an endless email circle with support about this. I have tested everything they asked me to test and still nothing. I can't autolevel and I can't auto home. Unlike some, I can't get my z axis to touch the plate, even manually.
I have a feeling my sensor, mainboard or both are shot but good luck getting any action from Creality. They keep telling me to test pins on the motor contacts with a voltmeter but all the cables on my machine have been glued in place from the manufacturer.
Very unhappy with this and have learned my lesson for buying any hardware from kickstarter and I certainly won't touch a Creality product again.

RE: Printer head won’t level / touch bed
@admin I was finally able to get to the 1.0.3.6 firmware and it seemed to correct the auto leveling, however my printer still freezes at the auto-home portion or if I attempt to auto-home directly.
I end up stuck on the screen "auto home, please wait for minutes". I am seeing the same thing as OP where the nozzle doesn't seem to get to the bed. I have swapped out the sensor on the z frame which I saw recommended in another thread. I am assuming this is why an extra was sent with the printer.
I tried a print and it was basically as if the extruder had no idea where the bed was on the z axis and was just extruding in air.
I have gone through and tried to ensure that all cables are firmly in place (most are glued) but am still having this issue.
What's next to fix the auto homing problem?

RE: Auto level not working
I am experiencing the exact same thing but only after upgrading to the v1.0.2 firmware. On the previous firmware it worked fine. I only upgraded the firmware because of an issue I ran into with USB. Since updating to the new firmware, I haven't been able to either auto home or auto level.
