    • RE: CR 10 smart not sticking

      @Centauri

      I got bed adhesion problems that cleaning bed or drying filament didn’t resolve. Not with PLA that sticks ridiculous well. But with PETG.

      I figured out a little simple glue stick procedure that was superior to just smear around a thick layer of glue.

      I put glue on a 50mm circle in the center. Then I take the corner of a wet piece of cloth and work out the glue to an thin invisible film that is quite tacky.

      The thin film is easy to clean up compared to a thick layer of glue and the prints stick very well to the bed. Not a single issue after that with that brand of PETG which was impossible before.

      @PaulinSTL

      I added M92 E100 in the start gcode in the Cura profile so it’s in the gcode file for every print. Works like a charm.

    • Local access

      If the could could send and execute a .gcode it should be possible to do that locally with Cura or an PC software.

      Without knowing in detail how the transmission between cloud and box works i could only assume.

      Connecting to the box IP I get into the switch web interface. I can se the local storage configured as a NAS.

      Only guessing wild here but i think it should be possible to locally save a file on the NAS from Cura without the hassle with SD card.

      That would be an true upgrade to the box and resume the original expectation we had for it.

    • RE: CR6 SE auto level not working

      @marg629

      There is some issues that could happen with the autolevel.

      The most common is interference from the bowden tube that falsely trigger the strain gauge. The strain gauge sensor only resets at startup with original firmware. If I power on my CR6 with the printhead in other position than left (almost home position) I get that issue.

      The strain gauge and pcb board could be defective. I suspect ESD damage to be a possibility. I have connected my printhead chassi to negative true a 100k resistor and rest of the chassi to negative true another 100k resistor to prevent any possibility to build up a static charge while running left to right on plastic wheels with a rubber belt. Even an 1Mohm resistor should work to prevent static charge.

      @samethalic

      Shrinkage of the plastic. Read the info for the filament and scale up the model according to that.

      If the filament have an shrinkage of 1.5% than adjust size in Cura to 101.5%

      Different material has different shrinkage. The manufacturer of the filament often provides with this numbers. Otherwise you will try to print a test piece or try numbers from a similar filament.
