    • Issues using CR-Scan 01 on a Mac

I have purchased a Creality CR-Scan 01 from Amazon recently and according to the website, this model is compatible with a Mac. After attempting to plug it in and use the software provided I have discovered that this is not Mac compatible unless I operate my Mac like a Windows based laptop?!?

Unless I'm confused, if this is a truly Mac compatible device, then it should come with Mac ready software too?

I have gone to the website (Reality.com/download) and I can't even find a download for this model?

Should I just return this useless device and choose a different scanner that is truly Mac ready and compatible?

    • Update to Extruder in Reverse Feed Mode

I last submitted a post asking for help to fix a malfunction that occurred to the extruder of my Ender 3 V2 while printing. I changed the speed from "63" to "100" in the settings WHILE printing and did NOT pause the print to make the changes. Apparently making this change while printing creates a glitch in the system and the extrude automatically switches to "reverse feed" or "Clockwise" and pulls the filament out of the extruder and fails any further printing.

I spoke with "Alex" at the company that sold my printer (via Amazon) and we turned off the printer and switched the cables from the X-axis motor and the Extruder motor and then turned it back on. We then used the "Move"/"X-axis" and the "Move/Extruder" and discovered they were both moving in the proper directions and the "X-axis" was extruding and reversing properly! I then turned off the printer and switched the cables back to the proper motors and turned back on the printer. After the printer heated back up, I moved the machine through the "Move" settings again and the extruder now operated properly again!

LONG STORY SHORT...pause the print before changing settings or this may happen?

    • Extruder will only feed in one direction after failed attempt to print?

I downloaded a free .stl model I found online and then used Cura to slice the model into a print file and saved it to the SD card that came with the printer. I then plugged it in and made some minor adjustments to the fan and the print speed. Then I left it alone for approximately four (4) hours and after making sure it was printing proper, I walked away. When I came back to check on the print, I decided to speed up the print (while printing, not paused) and then walked away again, anticipating a full print when I returned four (4) hours later. Instead, I found it had stopped printing at the exact point where I changed the speed settings and instead went into reverse feed mode and pulled the filament out of the extruder! Yet another failed print!

Now I'm attempting to reprint and I have discovered that my extruder is now permanently stuck in reverse feeding mode, regardless if I turn the extruder dial towards the + or the - in the "Move" controls, which I use to prime the extruder before each print?

WHAT HAPPENED AND HOW DO I FIX THIS? HELP...anyone?
