After I connected my desktop via a USB cable to the printer, BOTH THE PRINTER AND MY COMPUTER DIED. I have no idea how a USB cable connection could even do that, but it happened anyway. I've asked Creality support to help me and have sent my computer to a repair shop.

I was running the firmware the printer was delivered with. Needless to say, I'm very unhappy at this moment... I was getting the hang of getting some nice prints and now this...

My suggestion: Do NOT connect the printer via USB, unless Creality guarantees it is safe to do so.

Mine did the same thing, on the main CR-6 board SMD Fuse F3 and SMD chip U9 were both burned.

    • CR6-SE firmware seems in Chinese

I downloaded and installed the Dec. 3rd 2020 firmware, but it comes up in Chinese.
Did I get the wrong version from them.?

Received my box today. Set up was a breeze. Using is a bit clunky. Seriously lacking the ability to upload models directly from PC. The only work around I've found it to email it to myself, open it on my phone and proceed from there. Any have a better way, please share.

This issue needs to be addressed. I do not work from my phone with models.
Please make it so we can access the box from our pc.

    • Mandalorian Helmet - has anyone successfully printed one on CR-6 SE

I have purchased the files from a guy, and cannot get the parts to print, it starts to string almost right away. Any ideas or pointers?

    • How do I put models in the Box

I want to upload models to the box, but not do it via USB. How do I send my models from my PC to the Box in the cloud, since Creality did not have enough fortought to make it accessible via a PC ethernet cable either.

    • Creality Box

Setup was so easy on my cell phone. But wait ! I do not use my cell phone to slice and create models.
That is too much, if I had known this box did not have a URL to access it, then I would not have purchased it.

Will Creality be making it work via a URL from a PC.

    • RE: Burned out motherboard on new CR6SE what do I do?

Did you use the USB port, mine did the same thing. Realized that F3 and U9 near the USB port was burned out.
This is a design flaw in the USB circuit.

    • RE: Power Switch

I guess not, as that printer smoked and I got another one. the power switch is NOT lit up when on.
That would be nice to see, as the Geeetech I had did lite up.

Story on the Geeetech is it went into boot loop and could not recover, so I decided on a printer like the CR-6
because of the three main items.

      1. color LCD
      2. Touch screen
      3. auto-Leveling.

I am still very happy with this printer, and ordered the USB cloud box to see it that will work for me.

Has anyone else had any other things on the main board smoke. ?
Mine had the SMD Fuse F3 and the SMD chip U9 near the USB port both burn up.
This was after having the USB plugged in for about 20 minutes, then smoke time.

      Thanks
