    • RE: broke filment am new and dont know what to do

      Hi,

I have an Ender 3 V2 and this happened once. It is important that the nozzle is up to temp for the type of filament being used.

If you can see the broken part before the extruder then release the roller (pressure) on the extruder which you normally do by squeezing he lever with the spring and then using a pair of pliers pull the filament out of the bowden tube. This is why it's important to ensure the nozzle is up to temp or you could damage it.

If you can't see the filament then remove the blue clip on the coupler attached to the extruder, with nozzle heated press the leaver to release the pressure on the filament and press then white plastic ring around the extruder in while at the same time pulling the tubing out of the coupler. You should now see any filament where you can then pull it out. Re-attach and load new filament.

    • RE: Recalibration or restoring Default Settings?

      Hi,

Does it make the noise as soon as you switch it on or when it get to the end of an axis. Have you checked the limit switches are OK. I have a brand new printer with a duff pin on the X axis.

Check all the wiring to the motors and switches is OK and check the tension of all the rollers as you may have knocked one out of the channel. If you disable the steppers or when powered off does the X and Y axis move freely without sticking. If you rotate the Z spindle does it raise and lower easily?

    • RE: Ender 3 V2 Filament Retracting

@CInjin Have you checked the Gcode for the print? Does the print auto home before printing?

How are you printing the item, directly via the SD card or via the USB port with OctoPrint, PC etc?

Also, is the printer stock or modified in any way like having a BLTouch added.

    • RE: What size usb is on Ender 3 pro? is it micro or mini?

Depends on the board that's fitted to it.

The original boards 8 bit use mini but the 32 bit 4.2.x boards are micro.

From what I have read, Creality are fitting 32 bit boards to new models now.

      Hi,

I also have this issue with my Ender 3 V2 with 4.2.2 board and BLtouch 3.1.

Always sets home to center of the bed and auto level sets home to back right of the bed and Z about 10mm of the bed.

      Any help would be appreciated.

Hey @WeeHappyPixie was the missing pin on the motherboard side of the cable? Please advise on this!

It was on the PCB side. The actual pin coming out of the switch stopped half way to the PCB so no connection. I set it as my cover picture in my profile.

    • RE: how to replace limit switch in the left mount x-axis

      Hi,

You need to remove the QR sticker to reveal 4 screws holding the plastic housing and stepper in place. Once removed you will find 2 screws holding the switch in place.

      @Alan_B Hi,

I have had this issue too with my brand new Ender 3 V2 and I traced it to a manufacturing defect with the limit switch. One of the pins was missing. I soldered a bit of wire to the switch and pcb and it's worked since.
