Just set up a new Creality Ender 3 V3 KE printer and I’m getting this error. Can someone help me wih this issue?
2194 is a z axis issue, especially the cr touch sensor . You can try re-seating the 32 pin ribbon cable on the print head and inside the machine, check for a bent pin in the printhead. You can also try pulling out the touch sensor pin, it might be stuck.
Thanks, I’m assuming I will need to remove the bottom cover to reseat the cable inside the machine?
i would leave that until last. Reseat the ribbon cable, reseat the cable on the breakout board on the printhead. Examining the pins is a must just incase you bent one on assembly. Power up. If that fails then yes the one to the mainboard.
Thanks you so much. Even though the pins looked good, after reseating both cables, the error did not occur on a test print.
Excellent news, happy printing.
happened today
pulling out the touch sensor did the trick
thanks!
I have the same issue, I pulled the pin out and released but printer still shows the code.
My son had this problem before and told me he discovered that basically it had to do with the nozzle not warming up. The code came up for me today and sure enough, the nozzle wasn’t warming up. I manually started up the nozzle to warm up before printing, and it worked. Sometimes it would be finicky and start warming up and stop. So I had to do it a few times. Once it started printing though, the problem never happened again through the entire print job. I think it has something to do with the nozzle just all of a sudden not wanting to warm up. Also he said depending on if you are using PLA or PETG, the nozzle may not get to the right temputure. My son said he just runs it on PETG for PLA sometimes when the code comes up, and it fixes the issue because the nozzle gets hotter for PETG. Hopefully this can help some of you so you don’t tear up your machine trying to find bent pins or adding 8V power to it or all the other fixes that are a bit complicated that may not work.
