My machine has started making a really loud squeaking sound when engraving. Should I be oiling something or doing some other form of maintenance ?
Not to alarm you, but it might be one of the motors going bad. None of these should require oiling I believe. Try to identify where this noise comes from by making the head move left-right, up-down, … to identify if it comes from one of the motors, a belt, etc.
That will be a good start.
