3DConnexion 3D Mouse support

Creality Print is listed as supporting the 3DConnection 3D mouse, but it doesn’t work with the application. I’ve contacted 3DConnexion suppoirt and their response indivcates that it’s up to Creality to make it work if they so desire.

I am running version 7.1.0.4414 om a Mac, Tahoe 26.2 version OS.

Does anyone have this working?

nope it doesn’t work, it does work with orca though, so it’s something on the implementation that didn’t get transferred in the fork

The product does work but I have found that the 3D Connexion Software is buggy as hell.

I found their tech support to be very responsive but totally clueless. If I were to guess, they hire part time high school students to man the tech support desk.

I found that I often have to do two things:

  1. Restart the connexion software while the app is already launched and that it says CrealityPrint when you open the app. It often gets confused as to what app is on top.

  2. The Creality support for the mouse is pointless, one has to go in and check all the boxes to be active manually.

Here’s proof that it does work. You can’t do this kind of rotation with a plane mouse, it is one of the reasons I use the 3D Connexion mouse.
