Only lightly used my A1 Pro, just gone to use it again after couple of weeks and seems something broken with Z axis and limit switches.
Can’t home or jog the Z axis, constant 01001608 errors “Homing fail. Pull off travel failed to clear limit switch. Try increasing pull-off setting or check wiring”
No clue how to do any of the suggestions from that error, I’ve tried all sorts to get it working, using both touch screen and FDS to home/jog axis, tried both 20w and 2w IR modules, reseated the plug for laser module numerous times.
Looking inside the unit the module attaches to, can’t see where the limit switch is (or where it should be), this bit on the inside of the carriage looks the only thing remotely resembling a limit switch, but there’s no moving parts to act as a switch as best I can tell.
Anyone come across anything similar?
That is an optical switch. If something moves inside and stops light from going through it triggers. It is hard to say from your description at which point the z-homing actually fails. To find the error one would probably have to measure a few things with a multimeter at least to trace the issue down.
Write the support, they should send you a new carriage or whatever they think is broken: support@crealityfalcon.com
Now 3 weeks into dealing with ‘support’, I’ve had the grand total of 1 email offering any help from them, and that was to ask me questions I’d already given answers to in my original email.
I’m now told they are sending me a new limit switch to try - this best not involve me having to disassemble the machine in any meaningful way, didn’t pay this amount of money to be taking the thing apart and doing my own tech support.
Obviously I’ve had no tracking information for this part or any indication of when I might expect it to arrive, I won’t hold my breath.
