ABS with ESD filament

We just got K2 Plus printer and trying to print with ABS-ESD, but it only print a couple layers and it got clogged up every time. I tried to up the temperature to 280, but still got the same result. It printed fine with regular ABS, same setting, Any one have any experience with ABS-ESD? Any advices? TIA.

I once had a similar problem, but with PCTG. After setting the volumetric speed to 8, I was finally able to print the filament, as some filaments simply can’t handle higher speeds, or the extruder and hotend aren’t suitable for it.

Hello ALEO,

What printing temperature are you using ?

Bed temperature >95 ?

Have you dried the filament out for a few hours first ?

Cheers.

I would probably use 100 degrees bed and 10 degrees warmer on the hotend than the filament manufacturer recommends

It can’t hurt to dry the filament if you see that something is wrong.

Thank you for the recommendation. After trying different setting, finally I made it work. So I have to bumped up the temperature to 280 deg and lower the speed to 250 mm/sec max. The bed is 100 deg. I have CFS which keep the temp and humidity stable.

Thanks again, this is great comunity!
