I just purchased a creality k1c from amazon ive had it 24 hours and ive had nothing but problems with nozzle clogging up 5 times so far ,so i read online that some k1 c machines have a very problematic extruder and hot end fitted to them so i guess ive been sent the older machine with dodgy hot end extruder wich creality is well aware of ,i saw videos of various people saying in videos they reached out to creality and was sent a upgraded hot end with no issues ,so i reached out to creality yesterday they got back to me today asking for amazon order number and photo of model number on back of printer they then emailed me back straight away stating because i never purchased off them directly that they wont help me with my issues ,i cant believe that a hbig company like this treats people this way ,for example if a car dealer sells a mercedes but isnt a merc garage and mercedes know theres faults with that model when customer rings mercedes to raise issue with there known to them faulty product they say nope you never bought it from us contact the garage you bought it off any help advice will be much apreciated
That’s terrible, Darren
I don’t know which part of the World you’re in but in the United Kingdom, we have the ‘Sales of Goods’ Act. That law says that, when you buy something, the contract is between you and the seller. For example, if you buy a new computer and it doesn’t work, you take it back to the shop and they tell you to contact the manufacturer. They are wrong! Your contract is with the seller and it is their obligation to either have the goods repaired or refund your money. In addition to the Sales of Goods Act, we have the ‘Distance Selling’ options that cover online purchases. The same rules apply. Go tell Amazon that your contract is with them and NOT Creality so Amazon have the obligation to sort out the problem.
That being said, I’m surprised that Creality won’t replace faulty parts as a gesture of goodwill.
Send it back to Amazon and buy the Bambu.
I have the K1C and the printer has been fine, but the Creality Print software is pretty buggy and the print quality of the later releases is lousy. Somehow, they forgot how to print curved surfaces!
