I’m finally getting this workhorse dialed in and understanding more, and I’ve been using the spooler this entire time instead of the CFS. That being said, I’d love to print this for my child and I’ve scaled it down a bit so it wouldn’t take as long, but I didn’t want the 11h it says it’ll take for it to be wasted.
The model: https://www.printables.com/model/805096-st-patrick-leprechaun-duck-multi-color
Is it as simple (probably not - I know!) as load up the colors, slice and go with the settings I’d just use if I were using one color? Or are there parameters that need attention to ensure the color changes are as smooth as possible with as little smudge or mishap as possible?
Thank you in advance!

You need support, flush out in support on.
and maybe also flush out in filling on. that makes for less waste.
furthermore the slicer and the cfs regulate the transitions. and if you painted it yourself in creality print then check that the color is not only the wall or that there is a small piece not painted somewhere. that gives extra changes and that costs time and filament.
a tip if you would print 6 you have just as much waste as if you print 1.

Thanks a lot. I’m just dialing in the individual filaments I’m going to use for this model so I know they’re as close to good as I can get them before trying to get fancy. So far I’ve got the yellow down I think, it’s a really cool fluorescent one. Now I have to find my green lol. I’m only choosing the colors on the designated pieces in the model, I didn’t cut it up myself. When you say flush out in support on, can you elaborate please? I’m using Creality Print 6. Thanks a lot for the info!
Its in Dutch but i think you can see wat i mean.
