Advise on which K2 series unit to buy

I’m looking for advice on which of the K2 series machines to buy, as I am a beginner to 3d printing. I have already bought a ferret pro scanner and want to use it to scan a prototype of a product that currently I make out of metal. The model dimensions are 10.12” x 9.75” x 7.75” which fit within the build area of all 3 K2 units. I know it is close to the maximum size for a base K2. I guess I should ask a different way will the K2 base print a part that size? Also, will a K2 base print nylon or abs as is, or will I need to incorporate an enclosure heater in it, to do so? Thanks

if you are looking at printing engineering materials chamber heater is indeed a must, so you might as well go directly to the K2 Pro (or the K2 Plus if you need the extra build volume)

Thank you for the advice. It is kind of what I thought, but being new to this, I was not sure if I was overthinking the situation.

Yeah with abs and nylon the heated chamber and higher plate temperature from the Pro makes more sense and justifies the higher price

Just an FYI—you may already know this, but the K2 doesn’t have a heated chamber like the K2 Plus and K2 Pro do. On my K2 Pro, I’ve printed ABS and ASA successfully with only a few temperature adjustments.
