Is it possible to use the air assist unit with the 5W laser engraver or is it limited to the 10W unit?

Which air assist, the one from Creality directly? You can fit an air assist to any laser engraver if you 3d print an air nozzle that fits.
Yes, The Creality one. I want to use it for engraving painted panels.

Yes you can, BUT. I have both, you can ibstall the air assist but there are two problems. Forst the transparent red protective plastic that comes with the air assist is magnetic mounted and you dont have that mount on the laser module, i fixed this putting 4 small screws. The biggest problem is that the nozzle is too long and wont let you focus with the 5w.
I came around for a “momentarily” solution… just fixed the hose to the laser (inside the protective red square) withouth the nozzle. Couldn t find anything better to do.
Thank you for your advice. I will wait until I can afford the 10W module and upgrade my machine with it and the air assist.
