AppImage fails on Alma Linux 9

Hi,

first time K1 user; and I need to set up the Slicer on a Linux Box running stock Alma 9.

When I try to execute the AppImage (the two most recent versions from K1 3D Printer Software & Firmware Download (creality.com)), I get the following:

/usr/bin/AppImageLauncher: /lib64/libcurl.so.4: no version information available (required by /usr/bin/…/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/appimagelauncher/libappimageupdate.so)
mprotect failed in ExecutableAllocator::makeExecutable: permission denied

The last bit seems to relate to Selinux, but I am not sure what exactly it complains about and why the AppImage would touch something that Selinux does not like.

Any advice on how to deal with this?

Cheers,
Marc

Just to let you know, I have given up on this.

I instead installed the Ultimaker Cura AppImage for current Linux Distros, and that works out-of-the-box.

All I can figure is that the Creality AppImage is outdated and needs to be re-made for up-to-date Linux Distros/Kernels. A little dissapointing that I had to spend so much time on this issue only to find out that the fault is apparently with Creality (and that I never got a response to my query either).
