Hi everyone i have a K2 plus that was purchased by my employer in July of 25 and we’ve had issues with the system since it was purchased. It started out at minor issues that we’ve been able to fix or find workarounds for but we are now at a point where we are stuck. Last week we did the firmware update and since then we have been unable to print anything. The main issue im running into now is related to auto bed leveling. The issue seems to be intermittent sometimes the bed leveling will work and we can at-least start a print that usually fails part way through typically related to bed adhesion however recently during bed leveling the system will severely over travel on the Z axis and you can see the extruder assembly shift up from the pressure maybe 3 or 4mm to the point where you can hear grinding and the bed then drops. I thought this could be due to a bad strain gauge so i ordered a replacement and swapped it out today. I ran the bed leveling 3 times with good results roughly around 0.4mm. I then started a print and ran PA and Flow Cal and during the bed leveling of the print the bed over travelled again and the bed dropped down. Has anyone come a-crossed this before?
I have hit that occasionally on the new firmware. Power cycle then home the z-axis before you start anything, usually clears it up.
Hi gozmon, I have tried resetting and homing the z axis and its intermittent. iv been keeping a running list of error codes and I think im at the point where i need to contact support. the codes i have been receiving are SE2761 , CZ2761, CZ2581, CM2789-Y, TE2766, 2096 and in the fluidd console i notice when the z is homing it says Z1/Z2 photoelectic sensor not triggered. just now I had the bed over travel and error out with a 2096. i reset the printer. homed the axis and when it was headed to the waste shoot the extruder went past the wiper and got hung up in the corner and made some loud clicking noises before the lights shut off and the bed lowered. To say i feel defeated by this printer is an understatment.
This sounds a lot more serious than what I’ve encountered. I would definitely e-mail support.
hi everyone, i finally found someone online that is having the same exact issue that i am with their K2 Plus. im going to post the video so you all can see what is going on in hopes that if this happens to someone else this may fix their issue. im working on replacing the main extruder harness now and i will post again if this fixes the issue. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UGN2B7j1OjY
Hi Again Everyone this was the issue with our K2 plus.
If it is any consolation, I’ve seen a few of “I’m getting tons of crazy errors” posts that end up replacing this cable assembly as a fix. At least there is an instruction video now. Replace K2 Plus drag chain | Creality Wiki
