Auto level goes fine, but print wants to start below where it leveled, mashing the plate.. At a loss here..

A new Ender 3 v2, the first couple of prints went fine. Set the E-steps, new dual gear extruder (thats another issue with tension spring too strong, but I digress) .. But now when I start a print, it wants start below where it leveled.. Haven’t changed anything, the same print that worked fine, now starts too low.

Is there a way to figure the proper Z step adjustment or is there something else??

Check the Z offset setting. On the V2, it is under the “Prepare” menu and then down a ways to “Home Offset Z”. Start with it set at 0.3 and check a small print. Mine is set at 0.02.
