I tried to use Tune > Babystep Z to fine tune the height of the nozzle during printing the brim, but I just could adjust in steps of a 10th millimeter (0.100 mm). Which is far to much as there’s a real risk that the nozzle collide with the bed.
When using Prepare > Move Axis > Z it’s possible to move the nozzle in steps of 0,025 mm, I wrongly assumed that babysteps should have at least the same or finer intervals.
Am I using the babysteps in the wrong way or is there any way to configure the babysteps height interval?
Hi @user6109925455
The way you’re using babysteps is correct but the step size is fixed in the firmware, which is why each click moves 0.1 mm. It isn’t adjustable from the printer menu, so it will always feel coarser than the fine Z moves in Prepare > Move Axis. If you need smaller adjustments you can either tweak the Z‑offset before printing or use commands from a connected PC, or flash firmware that allows smaller babystep increments.
Thanks Alawhie!!
