Banging, toolhead caught, exhaust fan shrouds flying off - exorcist or gremlins?

So, this is the third time I’ve had this k2 pull some craziness to the point it was violent plastic smacking and nearly cracking sounds with loud banging. Immediately following that, the machine shuts down. This time was unique in that the two outer exhaust fans (left, right, center stayed) flew off and into the chamber. I had just done an auto-calibration via fluidd following a bed mesh calibration by hand with paper. Just providing some surrounding events in case it adds up for someone else. I’m not going to be printing until I can open the back up and see if something is amiss there because this happening more than a couple of times now - tells me it’ll continue to randomly until whatever is going wrong back there, turns fatal to the machine which I’m trying to avoid. The fact nothing inside of the chamber seemed stuck, and those fan shrouds flew off, it makes me think something behind there is exerting force and causing it because those clips on the shrouds are pretty decent otherwise. Has anyone else experienced this? I checked bolts on the linear rails, nothing protruding like I saw someone on reddit post.
