So I’ve had my Ender 3 V3 SE for about a year now, and it just started giving me troubles the past couple months.
Basically, no matter what material I use, my first layer won’t adhere to the build plate. I’ve re-levelled and adjusted the levelling with the paper trick, and I’ve adjusted the z-offset, but still no luck.
Eventually I finally gave in and tried the glue stick method, which also didn’t work.
So I just gave up and decided to stop using the Creality slicer and start using cura again, re-applied glue and gave myself a wider brim, and suddenly magic. My PLA is adhering to the bed perfectly.
Has this happened to anyone else? Is this just an issue with Creality’s software?
Hello @DeadToxic …!
Welcome to the Creality Forum…!
It sounds to me like you have a setting in Creality Print that is causing this. If it sticks to the plate using another slicer then it’s not really a mechanical issue.
There are Z offset settings in the Creality Print slicer and other things to check
Check this section to see what it is set at…

Ahhh deadly - yeah the default setting when I installed was 0.25 for some reason?
Probably going to stick with cura just where I know the software best, but I’ll tinker with that and see what happens. Cheers dude
quick question to an expert, when you change something in settings,do you save, export or import or create?> older slicer settings you just save it.
In this particular slicer Creality Print it gives you the option to save and create a profile with a unique name to use later on.
Mine is named K1 Max-copy-0.4 nozzle. Not a very descriptive name but I didn’t change it…
Pretty much the same on my V3SE and KE with creality print. Personally I adjust the z-offset at the printer in the menu as it starts to print. It is all set hunkydorey and I have not adjusted in months.
