I think the new dryers will have the ability to connect so maybe we see results in the slicer app or even in the cloud app. I can’t see how they can get much better. They already work very well. Maybe the ability to switch filaments and feed straight from the dryer which would convert the dryer to a CFS at that point. lol. Might as well add a dryer to the CFS. Other than that I don’t know. Would like to try one out though.
Yeah I’m down for BETA testing for sure!
The new product will offer in my prediction inline drying for the filament in use right before it is used to print. This would handle all four rolls in the CFS with no changes. I’d love to share my results using such a product with my K2 Combo.
“This presents a wonderful opportunity, Creality. My mind is full of ideas, specifically regarding the focus on ‘cutting-edge’ innovation. Below are my thoughtful observations on the new feature for the Dryer Box, highlighting the potential for integration with CFS:”
CFS Integration and Automated Filament Management is my boldest forecast. I have no doubt that this Dryer Box will be integrated with CFS, thus making auto-unloading and auto-loading from dryer to printer easy. One can imagine a day when a spool is dried and then loaded into the printer all on its own using CFS.
Intelligent Humidity and Weight Measurement with CFS Feedback: Expanding from CFS, we see intelligent sensors being designed to measure not just temperature and humidity but also filament weight. This information can then be relayed to the CFS, thus giving real-time feedback on filament consumption and making predictions about the need for replacement or drying of a spool.
Multi-Spool Drying with Individual Profiles: This feature can be integrated into the CFS, and several spools can be dried simultaneously, each with a customized profile. This way, the system can decide which spool to send to the printer according to the specific need for the material being used.
Automated Drying Cycles for All Types: The system determines what type of filament is being used via the use of RFID or other technologies in the CFS, then applies the most appropriate drying cycle.
The components for heating and air circulation would be carefully designed to create a synergistic relationship with the Controlled Filament Storage (CFS) system to provide stable and effective drying of the filaments within.
The touchscreen interface has a simple user interface that shows both the status of CFS and dryer, such as levels for filaments, drying process progress, and several alerts.
Cloud connectivity and remote control via Creality Cloud: Full integration with Creality Cloud has been achieved, enabling remote access to, control of, and monitoring of CFS and dryer. I am enthusiastic about investigating the possibility for incorporating a Dryer Box with CFS. If this is a possibility, I would be happy to provide in-depth feedback in terms of high-quality images and video and to test thoroughly in a variety of conditions. I do have a concern regarding secrecy, and I will do my best to maintain the integrity of this opportunity with respect. I have a full setup for CFS and a number of printers, and I would be happy to thoroughly investigate all aspects of this device. I look forward to hearing from you on Friday.
What about those that don’t use CFS ?
If you are still looking for BETA TESTERS, I’m Down to test it, I already have x2 Creality Space Pi Filament Dryer Plus and got the CFS box ready for my K1 Max.
Found it on Amazon US side, Currently unavailable. BUT it will be soon, Also seen it will be Around $59.00US and said should be LIVE Mid April, 15th 17th… I sure hope so. I don’t think that is the official Creality page. If you look at “Sold By:” under the Buy now button, it says “Creality KK Store.” That’s not their official store. This storefront looks like it sells Creality parts and other things.
Without vents to let moisture out, you won’t get the filament dry.
I agree entirely.
I have attached a small fan (in reverse) to help exit the moist air, run on a timer for 30 seconds on every 10 minutes.
It does make a difference.
Cheers.
Moist air?
Yes the water that evaporates off of the filament saturates the air inside the drier and needs replenishing in order to evaporate more from the filament.
Definately moist air.
If you have a filament drier, put a roll of filament in that you suspect is damp and an hour later put your face close to/above it and open it … you will feel it yourself.
Cheers.
I’m hoping for a CFS/dryer box combo unit.
