Blocking supportsin hidden areas

I’m on Creality Print 7.2 and I have a model that needs supports, but I need to block area where I don’t want supports. The problem is that I can’t see it to block it. How can I block supports to an interior area?

2 ways:

  1. Use paint on supports to just put them where you want them. You can right click to paint with red that blocks supports in that area too. Make sure you choose (manual) from the support type drop down.

  2. Use a support blocker. Select the model, right click on it, add support blocker. Move and resize the blocker where you need it. Using this one, leave it on (auto) from the support type so it will generate supports everywhere else. This way is better if you have a large area you want to not have supports.

The problem is that I can’t see the support area to paint over inside the figure no matter how I rotate it. it’s blocked from vision.. Is there a way to temporarily split the object so I can see the area I want to paint?

Play with the section view in the paint settings. it will hide areas. It’s tricky and to be honest I haven’t figured out exactly how it determines the direction, but it does help.
