My K2 Plus was delivered today. I followed the steps to unbox the new Machine until i reached the part where the hotbed screws have to removed. I noticed the metal plate connected along the Hot Bed top left and top right edges were bent. I messaged the Creality Service and they told me that Technical Team will contact me. And they gave me a Ticket number.
Has anyone else had the a similar issue while unboxing?
Am i over-reacting? And it does NOT play a major role in the functioning of the machine so simply bend it back?
Also i am not able to remove the FOAM below the Hot Bed as i cant move it yet( suggested by the Service Team not to switch ON the machine ). The unboxing video/images dont show any information about the foam below the hot bed. It seems the Hot bed has been pushed down hard.
I just wanted to share to hope to catch someone with similar experience.
Yes, what @doxidad said is basically correct in that this is a design feature. But I would not use the term “bent” as it implies damage. These guides are not bent or damaged. They are intentionally angled to act as lead-ins, helping center the build plate as it slides into position and ensuring that it seats properly against the rear stops.
To give Creality credit, this feature showed of some good engineering forethought.
