Break with no help

My K2 Plus gave me a BM0111 code a week ago. I first went through all the tests that are on wiki and the manual to no avail. Called what I thought was tech support. I had difficulty understanding very broken English. Eventually, I realized that she was just reading the manual and could not answer detail questions. Gave up and emailed cs@creality.com. I have up until now, realized that the ridiculous answers had to be AI generated and did not address the entirety of the problem. I am still under warranty.

Is this normal. I only started 3 weeks ago and my K2 Plus is dead. There is only power to the locked screen, hotend fan and the light. What caused this is an electrical storm. I can buy $100 worth of parts (motherboard, filament sensor, hotend sensor and extruder power cord) but this should be covered by my warranty. Yes or No. I am a 78 yr old Mechanica Engineer but not an Electrical Engineer. I am working on learning but am frustrated not only of my ability ATT but also the lack of help ATT.

Hi James,

I have owned a K2 Plus for 14 months and never seen this code.

After taking a look at the Creality Wiki page. Their conclusion if the fault still exists after all actions are completed is to replace the hotend circuit board.

As you only had the printer three weeks you should place a warranty claim for a replacement.

Or if you don't want to wait they are available from Amazon for about £20.

I have replaced several items on my K2 in the past and can recommend the Creality Wiki guide as one of the best repair manuals I've seen. You don't need any electrical qualifications as the guide has lots of pictures and very good written English.

Good luck.

Thank you. Good advice since I’m not getting an exceptable response and now no response. I can operate a multimeter but need smaller dia. probes. There on the way. I will get this fixed Hell or high water.
