Hi, all. I have an Ender 3 S1 Pro. I bought it in Nov of 2024. It has the STM32F401 chip.
THE STORY: It was working fine but I felt like updating the firmware just to try it out and now nothing works. I went to this website: https://www.creality.com/download/creality-ender-3-s1-3d-printer. I downloaded the latest version, V3.1.9, and followed all instructions for both main board and screen updates. Now The screen powers on but only shows black; I’m also pretty sure the board firmware didn’t take either but with a blank screen I can’t really tell.
THE DETAILS: I have 8gb micro SDs that are formatted in the correct MS-DOS + 4096 allocation size setup. I followed all of the instructions as outlined in the readme.txt files, reached out to support ( via phone, which did nothing, and email, which has not responded yet) and even googled my brains out for solutions but still no dice. I’ve even tried going back through all older firmware versions as a sort of “factory reset” but am still getting nowhere.
HELP: So now I’m hitting the forums for deeper help. Am I using the wrong link for these updates? Am I supposed to use the files in this link instead (even though I’ve already tried and failed here too) Ender Series Firmware Download | Creality 3D Printer Firmwares ? The readme.txt files, instructions on the download site, and forum / YouTube instructions are all over the place on sequence and which files need to be added, e.g: Udpdate the screen first then the main board or vice versa? Am I wrong putting whole private & TJC_SET folders onto card for the screen update or should it be individual files; same for the firmware?
Any help is appreciated. I’d like this printer back ASAP. Thanks in advance!
