[BUG] Firmware v1.1.6.1 overrides PETG temperature to 250°C and fails to detect textured PEI build plate

After the automatic firmware update from:

CR0CN240110C10_R_202605081127_ota_img_V1.1.5.5.img

to:

CR0CN240110C10_R_202606230954_ota_img_V1.1.6.1.img

my printer started behaving incorrectly.

For some unknown reason, the printer now starts printing PETG at 250°C, even though the G-code was generated with a nozzle temperature of 240°C.

I have already checked the OrcaSlicer settings and reviewed the G-code files. The temperature in the G-code is correct, so this appears to be a printer firmware bug.

Another issue that started after the update is that, when I send files to print, the printer reports an error saying that it cannot detect my textured build plate.

For reference, my original textured plate was replaced with a gold PEI build plate. However, the temperature bug is the most serious problem, because the printer is overriding the correct G-code temperature and printing PETG 10°C hotter than expected.

I am seriously considering downgrading the firmware because of this issue.

Many thanks for the update, I will be downgrading after my first v1.1.6.1 print currently underway. That and the new “diversity anti-diversion function” which brought home how invasive Creality print wants to or has become has me completely isolating the printer from the cloud and I will no longer be uploading anything there for fear of connecting to it and at some point having “them” brick my printer for me by accident or malicoiusly.

… switch off automatic updates and stay with the version that works for you (newer firmware are not always better then the one you already have)…

In case of some firmware upgrades there is no way back to a previous version…
