I am having the same issue with mine, ever since this firmware update, the camera will fail with the same error, and the print fails. The print continues, but whatever happens messes up the print, but it keeps trucking along.
I just stopped the print, I told the printer to home as I wanted to lower the hotbed, and it just freaked out on me. I ended up powering it off and losing some 8 hours into a 15-hour print.
same problem i am having i msg creality and they just say restart the machine and if it still happens msg them again which i did and nothing back.
after a reboot usually it will last 1 print then it goes blank. viewing it on the phone will disconnect in mins. on the pc its usually oki for the first print then it just dies sometimes after reboot its still dead.
I regularly have my printer at 50 deg or more. I was having the same problem, but I have never used the lidar. I have unplugged it and the camera is working fine. Check that you have the lidar turned off in the settings.
My camera was doing the same as yours. Either freezing, or just going blank after as little as an hour. I unplugged the lidar and It’s run for 2 days without a failure.
A work around is to use a browser to access the K1 printer, You need the IP address of the printer. You can find this out in by looking at the top left Creality Print screen. Then you can simply open a new tab in your browser and enter the IP address with “http://” in front of it as the address.
Through the browser interface, you can not only monitor the current progress of the print or access the connected camera, you can also make all the settings here. The browser interface is just as much a full-fledged interface as the printer itself.
Install Fluidd (in fact, options 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 8-13 & 16-18 have mine working fantastically and fixed a ton of annoying issues)
Use OrcaSlicer because Creality Print 5.X is written like crap. I’m sorry, but it is.
The combo of above has fixed not only the camera, but the horrible prints that 5.X introduced.
Edit: @CREALITY thanks for nothing. Ignoring your users when submitting bug reports and blaming the user for “plugging it in wrong” is not the best approach to solving crap code. Hire some QA staff. I’ll keep limping this along until the newest Bambu comes out.
You won’t get anything back from support until the Chinese New Year vacation is over. I had this issue with the first printer I bought my grandson. They put warnings up on their website that nothing will get done until after the holiday. I bought 4 printers for my grandsons before I bought the K1C for me, then my wife bought me the Anycubic Kobra 3 with the ACE so I can print in multicolor if I want to and have the time to wait days for a large multicolor print.
Just my 2¢ worth.

Creality print is up to 6. ** They seem to have fixed the camera and lighting issues. I am having better success with prints coming out the way they are written on the K1C. The Anycubic slicer leaves artifacts in holes and other fun stuff. Anycubic also had camera and lighting issues and neither machine has an AI that catches actual messes. It alarms often for no reason.
thank god creality finally looked at my logs and pictures i sent them of all my error codes 2060 which is the most common of them i took everything apart like they asked and showed them pictures of the board all the wires are glues still so nothing is loose no burn marks. they finally sent me a new motherboard just got it couple days ago and i put in the ticket mid October i waited so long got so frustrated i got myself a x1c with ams and to be honest the k1 max just sits on the table and i use it as a lit table with the light on. i think i’ve only fired it up once to print some tpu but that’s it cause the bed is so wrapped that i can’t print anything functional statues are great. i just ordered a glass bed going do the mod as my final try to get the bed flat, i am tired of preheating it for 10mins waste of energy and time and its still wrapped my z offset is like .082 sometimes .09 on the B plate and then when i get the center to not scrap the edges are super thin its just crap if they spent a little more money on bed leveling or a better design their printers would kick ass. its just that its never accurate. on my x1c using bambu studio it doesn’t even have z axis adjustment and first layer every time is so perfect without fail !! don’t understand why creality can’t fix their bed leveling they would save so much money on tech support and sending out replacement parts and better their PR as people won’t complain on how wrapped the bed is anymore.
For people having camera issues related to temperature, I was able to keep the camera alive by adding this heatsink and fan, using this printable housing. I connected the heatsink using this plaster. It was convenient to get them all from the same place with free shipping. As chamber temperature increases, the camera begins to overheat - dropping frame rate and eventually fully shutting down as it approaches 50c+. I was able to successfully keep it running indefinitely by adding a heatsink and fan. I often print large 10+ hours ASA prints with the chamber regulated at 66c and have not experienced a single camera cutout since putting the heatsink and fan on.
