I have the ender 5 s1. Running on the sonic pad…. I preheat to the necessary head and bed temperature, say 210 and 50 C. I then send the model to print. It then drops the temp to 170 20 if I remember correctly (it states customisable temp) then when it receives all the data from the computer its. Registers the correct 210 and 50…… this seems a waste of time when the temps have already been set by the preheat program???
Can you tell me what is going on and what I can do to cut out this step??
Thank you
Stuart
Might be a safe temp to autolevel, does it return to your print temp after autoleveling?
By auto levelling you mean the head comes down in the centre and”touches down” ( not the full auto levelling program) if so yes
It seems odd to preheat to the correct temp, then drop to 170, then to go back up to the correct temp again.
Any way thank you got your response
That is what the K1s do but they do use the nozzle tip for bed leveling and touching the build plate at a higher temp can damage it.
Ok thank you for that. Much appreciated
