My printer works OK when I use the cloud or SD card. I have tried to connect to my PC via USB cable and WIFI. I can see the machine on my router, have all the required addresses to connect by WIFI but will not recognise printer when using Creality Slicer, Using a USB cable to my PC it is the same cable as used on my old printer, which worked OK so doughty cable is faulty. I have tried Simplify 3D and Cura still not connecting. Having trouble uploading my models to the cloud, not slicing. I am gettig very frustrated and considering returning machine and trying another brand.
First thing, there is no possibility to connect to PC, for my cr-10 usb is for webcam, so also for you. And you can use only creality provided slicer. For my experience, one version older release is working fine with wifi printing. Newest one somehow seems like broken. But if you like to use different slicers, sharing printer on local host using cheap orange pi zero board, or directly accessing from USB, there is modification, what involves breaking warranty, what I don’t recommend, but simply google about cr-10 printer usb reclaiming.
