I bought a new ceramic heatblock for V3 SE and tried to attach it on my machine. Everything went well until I started attaching PTFE tube on the top of the unicorn nozzle of new heatblock.
As the images below show, I pushed it in until the teflon tube ripped, but it wouldn’t go in.
What should I do next?
… what does the installing guide say? Are you sure you have to fit PTFE tube there?
That PTFE tube will never fit, it is like trying to push an elephant through a keyhole…
I assume you are using the PTFE tube that came in the kit.
There were 2 in the box with mine 28mm for the KE and 22mm for the SE.
The supplied tube has an internal diameter of 3mm
The old tube (from the original head) is 2mm internal diameter.
Both old and new tubes are 4mm outside diameter. (all measurements are approx)
I think you are trying to fit the original tube which will not fit over the new head, and will be way too long.
Thank you guys and Here’s my answer images to your points.
The first one is installation guide and the second one is the picture includes old PTFE tube(left) and new 22mm PTFE tube (right).
I think I’m doing well…
… if the inner dimension of the new PTFE tube is wrong it will not fit… it no rocket science… Contact the reseller of the new heatblock…
