So, this is beyond frustrating. I inserted a pause in the print, which it did pause. I clicked another slot in the CFS in crealty print. Told CP6 to resume, it kept going with the same slot (slot 2). I clicked slot 1 before clicking resume. Then I figured, alright this isn’t working I’ll just take the roll out of slot 2 and swap for the roll in slot 1. Big mistake. It wouldn’t retract the spool whatsoever. I ended up having to manually pull a few feet of filament out of the tubes. Then, I put the other spool in there, tapped “extrude” so I could push the old color out and prep with the new one to resume, and all it does is keep trying to cut the damned filament every time. This makes no sense for it to cut filament in the current selected slot when the operation is extrude. Then on top of this all, it tried to resume thinking it had filament and all it did was go through motions while extruding nothing. I can’t remember the last time I was this frustrated with printing-related stuff. The fact what’s supposed to be a simple operation or two, causing this much havoc. I’m at a loss but this print is still paused so I’m definitely open to suggestions. Every time I hit pause, it leaves a nice string of filament like the peak of a beaten egg white that I have to use the flush cutter to get rid of so it doesn’t drag it around the print. Oof, what a damned night.
