Hi, I am just wondering, when will CFS units and cables and other parts be available in the creality shop? I have noticed on the videos published so far that the connection cable between the CFS and K2 Plus is so short that it can only be placed on the top of the printer. Alternative cable lengths would be welcome and also the ability to buy more CFSs.
I think many people will be interested in this.
I would also like to put the CFS on the side. As my K2 hasn’t arrived yet, I can’t test whether this is possible if you position the feeder (splitter) slightly differently.
I am also still waiting for my K2 but did find a short manual online. It mentions that the cable is a 485 communication cable, the drawing (not a photo) looks like a RJ-45 connector. As far as I know RS485 can use a DB9 or RJ45. So the cables will probably be readily available from 3rd part sources if what this manual infers is correct.
I’m curious as to when the k2s will be available also. I am running out of patience and ready to buy a different printer. Would also like to know if and when an upgrade kit will be available for the k1 max. Frustrated at not knowing with the sales going on from others right now. Would like to get a few filament changers too.
Another note if they actually read posts here it would be nice if they had more color chouce with their filaments. For me the pla and abs. 3 colors for abs??
Rant over.
I prefer to get the creality printers though. Have several. Love the k1 max. Their pla and abs have been printing perfectly for me. Would like to stick with what they have. Just would like more variety on the colors.
Why not just buy other vendors filaments? You can load whatever colour you want. Just make sure to calibrate them because all are slightly different. You can manually store the details in the slicer and easily replicate the starting points from the generic PLA and ABS profiles.
cable looks like it might be a standard Molex Mini-Fit Jr 6-Pin, we need to get one to be sure. If it is we can buy any standard Extension Cable made with them…
When i find something that works i tend to stick with it. I have ordered abs from another vendor to try. Of it works i have plenty of colors to choose from. Its a convenience thing really.
Hey DanBGold, I just spoke with the product team, and our K2 Plus will come with two cables: one long cable and one short cable.
The first batch of k2plus is already being shipped.
According to the product team, the machine now includes enhanced universal filament configurations. If you purchase filaments from other brands, using the universal settings will ensure basic print quality.
In most cases, no calibration is required (though there may be exceptions for specific circumstances).
I thought the short cable is used to connect the buffer to the printer and the long to connect the CMS to the buffer?
So even the “long” cable is too short for side placement or out of the way (on a higher shelf maybe)
The buffer can be fitted to the cms… maybe a solution?
Creality are bringing the cables out soon, if you need one now Ali-express have these, yes they do work on the CFS I have tried one.

I can confirm that the extension cable from Progressive Automations does not work. I bought one to see. It’s a larger connector that doesn’t physically fit.
