CFS printing question, 1 more colour (could be slicer?)

Ok, so I’ve got a model with 5 parts to the object mapped to different colours. Using CFS I can map those to the existing 4 colours - good so far.

However, if I need to add a 5th colour, what’s the best way to do that? On single filament print, I’d have a change filament+pause at each colour change. On an existing 4-colour print there doesn’t seem to be a way to do this? (Yes I know you can add a 2nd CFS unit if this is an ongoing need, but for the very occasional use it’s not justified.

It’s currently impossible to achieve. The only solution is to add a second CFS.

if you print hueforge, you can use 8 colors =) Just slice in the slicer into 4 colors (the change of rods should be 8, counting the loading of the first sl). And after using the first color, change the spool to the color that will be used on the fifth and so on. You can change spools during printing, the printer will think that you put the same spool back.
