I recently installed the CFS upgrade kit on my K1 Max. The CFS feeds filament from the correct spool and when the filament gets to the extruder the blue light comes on, but then there are several clicks, the filament does not feed into the extruder, and I get error FB2864.
I have tried feeding filament directly from a spool to the extruder and have the same problem…clicking sound from extruder and filament does not feed into the extruder.
There is plenty of ppl having the same issue (including me) and it looks like Creality will do nothing about it. They launched a kit that does not fit certain models of their printers. Mine is a K1C 2025 version and is not compatible with the multicolor kit and the CFS. They recently launched the correct CFS (model C) and we are supposed to just buy the new solution and forget all we spent previously. Creality, never more. And also they are claiming not to give me any support as my invoice is not from my country, even having official support where I live.
So, it turns out, there was a bunch of filament jammed in the buffer. I opened the buffer and cleared out the filament and the error went away.
Also, there was filament in the throat at the top of the hot end, causing filament to not feed into the hot end. I cleaned out the throat and was able to get filament to feed, both from the EXT spool and from the CFS.
Glad that you got it resolved. If the filament too easy to snap. Might be moisture inside especially PETG and TPU. Dry the filament for 4 to 6 hours before print. You will have better results. Stronger bed adhesion also less stringing.
