So my proplem is that cfs works if I print with only one color but when I try to print let’s say Multicolor cube, it starts printing but it seems like it’s under extruding a bit, then filament change time, it takes a ***** long time 8-15min to unload the 1st color, second color : again time flyes and glog error.
I cancel the print, start a regular single color print… prints just fine, no under extruding ,no glog, there was no glog.
i had a very similar issue. I had a problem with the Filament buffer not working correctly. I had to remove the tubing from both ends and make sure that i had the tubing installed correctly. It caused the filament to bind in the extruder, and I clogged up two nozzles before I just started the installation over and checked all the parts
To resolve filament feeding issues in the K1 Max CFS, such as clogs or errors preventing multicolor printing, try this fix:
Don’t know if it makes eny difference but I downgraded cfs firmware from .33 to . 27 and I use Creality slicer 5.1, thou this was before I found this fix from the Creality discussion board.
Locate the 4-way switch: Find the 4-way switch on the bottom of the CFS unit.
Access the lever and spring: Unscrew the 4-way switch to reveal a lever with a spring underneath.
Adjust spring tension: Add 1–2.5 mm of washers under the spring to INCREASE tension. Ensure the lever still has some free movement.
Test before modifying the spring: Avoid cutting the spring (as suggested in some videos) until you’ve tested this adjustment.
Verify the fix: After adding washers, test the system.
For me A successful 10-hour multi -color print on a full plate indicates the issue may be resolved.
This method addresses filament buffer errors or clogs without permanent modifications. Always check for proper lever movement to avoid over-tightening.
This seems to have done the trick for me.
Here’s a video how to find the spring, don’t cut it.
I dont have any washers at hand rn and im getting frequent clogs inside the nozzle when the cfs tries to retract (literally havent been able to finish a single print). Would you recommend me to print a spacer on petg or asa as an alternative to the washers? If so, what dimensions would you recommend?
