I broke the chamber thermistor but I cannot find where I can get a replacement. Does anyone have a link or part number for it?
Don’t know which country your in but a quick search using “creality k2 plus thermistor replacement” revealed a number of sources for replacement together with links to Crealitywiki.
Everything I’ve found so far is for the hotend thermistor and the wire is far too short. When I check the error code on the wiki it just tells me to replace it without linking to a part or part number.
My Bad - missed the chamber bit; however can only find one supplier (in south africa)
ÂŁ4.39 in sterling. $6 dollars. Postage could be worth it.
I have looked up VIP-mall and cannot ascertain a sku so best guess is to ask creality service to supply.
I see wiki suggest checking wiring for loose connections - guess you have tried that so would take out from chamber and look for manufacturers mark. Plenty of similar on AliExpress and possibly on other web outlets.
Could well be a standard item though connector may be issue.
Obviously you could try any official Creality supplier but given value they may be hesitant and charge extra.
Looks like Creality service ![]()
Thanks! I did find that site but didn’t check out if it’s legitimate or not yet. Yesterday I tried to chat with Creality but didn’t get anywhere so today I reached out with an email. I looked at other sites that sell thermistors but I lost the tip of mine so I can’t measure to try to find one that would work.
This thermistor looks like the one on the xtrud 3d site. Same connection and looks as though it has the 320 tag on it.
Could be worth a punt.
The thermistor on the xtrud3d web site for the K2 appears to be the same as the K1 thermistor.
Does anyone in the forum know if they are the same ?
Does anyone have both for comparison purposes ?
according to AI.
Compatible generic alternatives
Given the chamber’s lower temperature range (up to 60°C), a standard NTC 100K thermistor is a suitable and widely available alternative.
-
100K NTC 3950 Single-Ended Glass Sealed Thermistor: These thermistors are commonly used in 3D printers for temperature sensing and can operate up to 300°C, making them more than sufficient for the heated chamber.
- Where to buy: Found on marketplaces like eBay and from 3D printing component suppliers.
-
Creality Thermistor Kit, Glass Bead: While designed for other Creality models, kits like this one offer a standard NTC 100K glass bead thermistor that can be adapted for the K2 Plus chamber.
Creality got back to me and is going to send me a new thermistor. I have my fingers crossed that it’s actually the one for the chamber and not for the hotend. If it’s the right one and has a part number on it I’ll post that in case someone has this same problem in the future.
This is god news, lets hope it is the right one.
