My friend was going to get rid of his K2 because he broke it. Long story short, I have rescued it. This is my first ed printer so please be nice to me. I did a factory reset, I knew there was an error. Might as well start at the beginning. The error code is, ‘TE2564’. I know that means, something like, the head is not getting to operational temperature. I have checked that & it is not heating at all. Why the diagrams. I want to trace back the heating path to see if the fault is further back onto a control board. Can someone help or even let me know how to fix this. The original fault; the head was turned into a solid block of filament so he used a head gun. Anyway, £250 later, it still did not work.
Unfortunately, wiring documentation on the K2 is abysmal. I’ve had several problems that could have been solved hours faster with a block diagram showing the wiring harness. @Creality is that too much to ask? I know you have that drawing in manufacturing. Share it!
@Villan As you see in my little vent, I share your frustration. The only help I can offer is the most popular guess for strange errors is the wiring harness that goes along the drag chain to the printhead assembly. It gets a lot of movement and the strain relief is primitive (to be kind).
I have had ChatGPT do a deep dive of the inter-web. The number of people who want to fix their printer themselves but the information is, to be polite, rubbish. It is not hard for help, but no!. I will share what we found.
On the K2 Plus, your TE2564 “The nozzle is not heating as expected” error has a fairly well-established fault trail.
Creality lists TE2564 for the K2 Plus as a nozzle heating failure. What is more useful, though, is what K2 Plus owners have actually found. Repeated cases have been traced to the hotend itself, loose or damaged heater connections, the toolhead wiring loom/drag-chain cable, and occasionally the toolhead board. One owner with repeated TE2564 errors eventually found the main printer-head cable was faulty, after replacing or reseating other parts. Another K2 Plus case involved a damaged/pinched harness and produced TE2564 along with other toolhead errors.
So I would troubleshoot yours in this order, rather than throwing parts at it:
Hotend heater and its two connections.
Connector pins on the toolhead board, especially looking for one pushed backwards, loose, browned or burnt.
The short hotend wiring harness.
The main toolhead/drag-chain cable.
Toolhead board.
Only after those, start suspecting anything further back towards the main electronics.
There is a particularly interesting bit of information for us. The K2 Plus replacement toolhead loom is identified in owner reports as Creality part 3103110752. Don’t buy it yet, but that gives us a definite component to investigate if the hotend checks out.

Before dismantling much, switch the printer on and look at the displayed nozzle temperature while it is completely cold.
Tell me roughly what it reads, for example:
Nozzle: 22°C
Then command the nozzle to 200°C and watch it for about 20 to 30 seconds.
Tell me which of these happens:
A: stays around room temperature and does not rise at all.
B: rises a little, then stops.
C: heats normally towards 200°C but eventually throws TE2564.
D: temperature reading jumps wildly up and down.
E: something different.
That one observation will split the diagnosis quite dramatically.
I hope this helps
