I was just wondering if putting a build plate in the dish washer would damage it ?
Would certainly make it clean.
In many cases the temperature inside the dishwasher is less than what build plates handle ??
What are some thoughts, folk …
Its in the water a lot longer and dishwasher tablets are more aggressive than Dawn/Fairy washing-up liquid, I’ve seen glasses get that dull/worn look because of the abrasives. Not tried it, don’t have a dishwasher.
Cleaning the build plate is something you should do regularly to keep your prints sticking properly. I usually wait for the plate to cool down, then use isopropyl alcohol with a soft cloth or paper towel. If there’s leftover filament stuck on the surface, a plastic scraper works well. Avoid using anything sharp that could scratch the plate. Keeping it clean helps a lot with print quality and bed adhesion.
