Communication with controller failed

Hi all. I have an issue with my 22w Falcon 2. Connected rotary drive 2 weeks ago and then removed again. Didnt use machine till this weekend. Tried to use machine, but not homing and in machine settings it shows “communication with controller failed”. Any suggestions? Thanks

Hi there.
Couple things to check :

  • Disable the “Enable Rotary” if not using it - in LightBurn, it should be on the main window, under the “Laser” tab (bottom-right of screen), just below all the “Pause/Stop/Start/Frame…” buttons.
  • Did you reconnect the cable on the y-axis?
  • Ensure there are not bent pins on the y-axis cable - happens sometimes
