My desktop does not have a wireless connection to devices, I load the programs with a thumb drive.
Do you think I could connect my desktop to the printer by using a cable with Ethernet connection on one end (plugged into K1 Max printer) and USB connection on other end ( connected to my desktop) to recognize the K1 Max Printer?
This is what I do to connect to my Canon common paper-scanner printer.
I wanted to ask before trying this just to make sure I don’t fry some wires somewhere.
No unfortunately a LAN to USB convertor/cable will not work. You would be best putting a LAN cable to your router from the printer or a LAN cable from your printer to your computer.
I wouldn’t use an Ethernet-to-USB cable for this. Even though the connectors fit, it doesn’t work the same way as a regular USB printer connection. If your K1 Max supports a direct USB connection to a PC, that’s the better option. Otherwise, the printer and your desktop will need to be on the same network through a router or switch for Ethernet to work. I’d check the K1 Max manual first to see which connection methods it supports before buying any cables. Better to be safe than risk wasting money on something that won’t work.
