I have noticed that when I set a print off and then stop it within a minute via the device page of CP6 it sends the signal to the K2 Plus to cease printing and indeed the device page on the computer notes it is “stopping printing”; However this situation stays on screen for some time and the K2 Plus printer does NOT stop. It appears to withdraw the tool head but does not reset itself to enable the ability to recommence from the CP6 programme or control panel on the printer.
I have also noted that when I have had the anomaly error that others have had in the extruder it would appear that the extruder motor is not receiving the command to power. The gears are able to free wheel and therefore will not extrude or retract when receiving the command from the control panel.
I believe the fundamental issue with the error being received in the main is that the K2 is not self clearing the error but holding onto the error state in its firmware. Normally the software would log the error and reset itself to allow restart of communication with the control panel or CP6 or Orca. It appears to be in a loop of “help / Retry /ok”.
Depending on the error a power down and restart appears to resolve most error messages especially when no physical error is to be found. EG Extruder.
