CR-10 Touch screen not responding

I just opened up and assembled my new Creality CR-10 3D printer. I turned the power on after assembly is completed as per instructions in the manual, and the screens on with the same display and buttons as shown in the manual. However, the screen does not respond when I pressed against it. I tried resetting several times, and disconnecting and reconnecting the rainbow band as well, and I also tried touching the screen with a stylus pen. None works.

Does anyone have the same problem, or know how to resolve it?

Hello Kevster,

I don’t have that model but would ask if the unit is set for the right voltage used in your country ?

Cheers.

Hi Radical_Data,

How do I set the unit for the voltage we use in Canada? We have 120V here.

I would check the user manual that comes with it…
It could be a switch next to the power cable plug.

Cheers.

The manual has very limited information about troubleshooting, especially on the touchscreen pad. I also checked the power cable and see no other switches. The machine turns on, and the touchscreen shows the button as it’s supposed to be. Nothing appears to be not working, until I try to press on the screen

Hello Kevster,

Looking at photo’s of both versions of CR-10 I see there is no voltage switch, so that part is auto so to speak.
The only thing I can think of to do as there is nothing physical to try, is to re-flash the firmware.
Other than that, maybe someone else out there can chime in.

Cheers.
