My printer is dispaying Error Code E0500 key 2281. I’ve tried shutting off the printer and turning it back on and the error reappears. The printer is no longer functional.
My printer is doing exactly the same, and I cannot find a solution at present.
The solution that I found was very tricky. Whenever you hit the OK button it would go back to the error but it would take a split second to get to the error. I hit the OK and then navigate through the menu immediately before the error returned. It took a lot of attempts by going one step at a time but finally I was able to get to the default option. Once I factory defaulted it, I was able to get it working again. I also had to replace the nozzle as there was a broken piece of filament stuck in it. I don’t know if that’s what caused the error but it’s working fine now. Best of luck to you.
Hi Mark.
Glad to see that you have managed to fix the problem! I have tried the same technique, but can only get so far as to have the message “Machine start-up in prgress” permanently on screen (it has frozen!).
So my situation has not changed, or progressed very far. I was interested in your comment that you had to change the nozzle, and I was in the process of cleaning the nozzle on my machine just before the Error appeared. I have tried diconnecting each element on the print head in turn, to see if that unblocked the error, but to no avial.
My next step is to go back to an earlier revision of the software and reload it to see if that unblocks the error, or at least gives me a different error message.
So far, I have not been able to find the Error2281 in any refereneces nor in any routines for which I have been able to get the source code (I do not have a full listing as Creality have not released it yet).
Do hope that your luck continues!
Regards
Ian
Greetings Ian,
Sorry to hear that your error is not quite the same as the one that I experienced. I was able to navigate through the menu in the brief moment that occurred between the time the error popped up and the time I was able to hit OK. So far my printer has performed like it was when it was new.
I hope you are able to fix your problem soon.
Best of luck,
Mark
