In the latest version of Creality Slicer there is no option to pick a CR10 SE. Does anyone know which configuration is closest?
Use a different Slicer, the CR10 SE is almost 6 years old. I think you will find plenty of profile for Orca- or PrusaSlicer.
The CR10 SE is actually a year old. Maybe you meant the CR6 SE.
Sadly we all have to wait for Creality slicer to add more profiles or purchase the profile from those holding it hostage behind a patreon paywall.
I was a little confused about “almost 6 years old” I have been using Ender 5’s for at least that long and this was a major upgrade in terms of ease of use and speed. The first prints worked quite well. Not quite as smooth as the Ender 5 but acceptable and at least 3 times faster. Some of my products are 48 hour prints on the older printer. However now the prints are unusable using the same settings. When I print one of the older models (or the supplied models) they print fine. Orca did have a profile for the CR10-SE but it did not fair any better. I have used Simplfy3D so I am going to reach out to them. They have profiles listed for the K1 series but not the CR10-SE which I believe uses similar technology.
Yeah, I tried the Orca profile to. It was unsuccessful. I have just been using the older version of Creality Print (V4.3.8) until they get us a new software update for 5. Creality Print 5 is going to support it. It is just a matter of time. That being said there is some guy who claims to have a working CR10 SE profile but you have to sub to his patreon to snag it. Not going to honor this guy with a link. >.> In the meantime If I am able to find OR configure a working profile for the CR10 SE in CP5, I will be sure to share it here. For free.
I hope others might do the same.
Good luck 10VXA!
Ok FOUND IT!
In CR5 under settings…(The GEAR Icon). You want to check off “Push parameter package updates”
You will then be asked to update in the bottom left corner of the software. After the update I went to add a new printer and the CR10 SE shows up! I hope this is helpful.
I was able to find the CR10 SE profile but it did not print well. The Mac version of Creality Print is limited to 4.3.8 (they have not put out a version 5…yet?) I did manage to partially solve the problem by updating my Simplify 3D to 5.1.0 which has the ability to deal with Klipper. The prints are usable although not so much at 300mm/sec speeds (250 seems usable so far) Might be just a matter of tweaking the S3D settings by comparing to the ones in the Creality Print profile and using trial and error. The print quality is still, as yet, not as good as my older, slower Ender 5’s. Thanks for your input!
