Creality 4.2.2 board with A4988 mod with TMC 2209?

I converted my old Ender 3 pro to CoreXZ Switchwire to breathe some new life into it. I put an SKR Mini E3 V3 on it, but the tinkerer DIY in me just can’t let the old 4.2.2 go without reusing it. I’ve been doing a lot of research about this mod and watching YouTube videos about soldering a new stepper motor chip on soldered stepper motor chips on mainboards, although the videos that I’ve seen aren’t using the 4.2.2 boards. I was wondering if anyone has successfully done this? This is more of a learning experience for me, so if I end up breaking it, I didn’t have any use for the board anyway and TMC 2209 chips are only like $2 ish each. So looking at this as purely project/learning experience. I have a rework station and since I started soldering and reworking this year so this could be a great learning experience. I am just not that experienced with wiring and diagrams yet, although still learning and I do have a multi-meter. Thank you for any assistance!
