Hi everyone, I didn’t want to waste time writing this, but I still want to. I bought a K1 MAX and started using it. During that time, I encountered many problems, but overall it was good. Then I bought the CFS upgrade kit and the CFS machine that came out. Oh my god, I can’t even describe the problems I had!
I fixed most of them thanks to the internet, but I couldn’t improve the print quality. In the end, I sold it all and got rid of it, I recommend you do the same. ![]()
Creality needs to do some self-criticism. They release the product but leave the testing to us and just watch. We waited for months for the CFS software, and it seems it’s only just come out now. I don’t know if it’s useful or not because I sold it. But I don’t accept that a product I paid for comes with so many problems. I will never buy a Creality product again. I don’t know if this message will be published, but I’m writing it anyway. Take care.
Hi, I bought the Hi Combo and haven't had any problems with the CFS module. I think you've just been unlucky, but Creality should respond to your complaints because if they don't take care of their customers, we're all going to be in trouble eventually.
The K1 Max wasn’t designed for multicolor so retrofitting the CFS to it technically can be done, but unless you have it all set up 100% correctly, you will have issues from what I have seen from others. I would have kept the K1 Max for single color prints and gotten a K2 Pro Combo which is built for multicolor instead. I have one and have had no issues with it. I have a CFS with my Hi Combo and also no issues.
Sorry to hear you’re having a terrible experience, Creality products do work I can attest to that. I bought a k2 plus machine with cfs from one of their resellers and I have had zero issues. close to 2000 hours on it now. mostly pla and pet-g but lots of nylon as well.
try again……![]()
Thanks for sharing your thoughts, everyone. Actually, I’ve been a Creality user for years.

Apart from general issues, I was satisfied, but as I said, until Creality fooled me with the CFS kit
You’re right, the K1 Max isn’t a color printer, but then why did they release the kit? Moreover, they sold it as a product that hadn’t finished testing. Neither the dealer nor the manufacturer offered a solution for the problems I experienced. They kept saying to wait for new software updates. I waited for months, but when there was no solution, I removed the CFS kit from the printer and sold it. That’s how my Creality adventure ended forever.
Now they’ve released a model called SPARKX i7. If you notice, it’s a copy of the A1. Creality isn’t successful at producing original products and always copies other brands. SPARKX i7 came out, so why did we buy the Hi Combo for nothing? So, that’s my opinion, of course.
After selling my K1 Max, I realized how right I was to buy the H2D HT Combo. The difference in quality is enormous. Thanks again, take care.
I know people who have done the K1 Max color upgrade and love it - just imo, it’s better as a single color printer. For the price of the color kit and CFS, you can save all the messing around with it and just get a K2 series.
I am a pioneer (tester) for the Sparkx i7 and it’s a very solid printer. I really love how easy the print head & CFS is to access motors, extruder, etc if you have any issues. The CFS even ran 250g mini spools for me with no issues at all. I’ve never used a BL printer, but I would say the Sparkx i7 is more than just an A1 Clone.
I’m not as much of an expert as you are however, I do have some experience, albeit limited, from years of experience. As I said, until now, apart from minor issues, I was satisfied with the brand. It was good in terms of price-performance ratio. I didn’t write this review to criticize, even if it seems that way. However, what I experienced caused me to have a nervous breakdown
The constant, never-ending problems, the loss of time and money drove me crazy.
I have 4 Creality printers, I started with a K1C and did the Multicolour conversion to it and it has been flawless. I have a K2 Plus, K2 Pro and a Creality HI and they all perform brilliantly. The only thing I use that’s not creality is Orca Slicer as Creality Print is garbage and I use BIQU Cryo build plates which absolutely rock, never had adhesion issues what so ever so I don’t know WTF you were doing with your K1 Max but I totally disagree with everything you said as my experience with Creality product has been excellent.
I have operated a K1 Max for over 2 years now and I love it. Yes it has its quirks but once the profiles are fine tuned its a workhorse. I print mainly ABS and ASA so I have the bed fan mod to heat the chamber. I have had the CFS running for about 2 months and after installing it carefully and according to the instructions it works great on the .33 firmware only. The .34 does not work for filaments which require a high bed temp because it cools the bed to clean the nozzle, thus losing the heat soak. It seems clear that for people who just want a printer to work they should buy a Bambu. There will still be problems but less than the open source printers.
