Good day,
Could someone advise on what the fault may be with my Creality CR-10S Pro v2.
Every print, whether a print of a couple of minutes or a couple of days, ALWAYS drops the bed temperature within the first quarter of the print.
I have to watch the print constantly, and as soon as it drops, I have to change it manually to the print’s original bed temperature. After that, it will maintain at the temperature I put in, even if the print still needs to go on for 3 days.
It is a random time in the print - I cannot work out the time into the print or the % into the print; it differs with each print, but is always in the first quarter of the print.
I have checked the G-code, and there is no command to drop the bed temperature.
My story might help, I thought my heater was bad, but it was actually the sensor that tells the board you are up to temp that was bad. Sensor was cheap and easy to replace. Available from large online retailer that ships to your home in a day or two if you are a prime member (hint hint). And Creality tech support did provide a test that can be done with a volt meter to check connections on the board, which I did not need to do, but having the tech advice on voltage checks was very valuable. It is important to somehow separate the 3 pieces int e puzzle, heater itself, sensor telling board the bed is heated, and the board itself.
So far I have never replaced the board. And I have a pack of heaters and sensors but have only installed one time in 5 years.
