I accidentally tore the USB C port off my CV30 motherboard and can not find a replacement the same.
What motherboard would be a good replacement?
If you have a soldering iron:
Buy a USB socket or cut an old USB cable. You just need 3 lines D+, D- and Gnd for a USB 2.0 connection.
Use lots of flux.
The easiest is to scrape off the solder resist and solder these three wires onto a USB cable that you can plug in directly to the PC. It’s not that hard if you know a little bit about electronics and soldering.
If you want another board, probably any GRBL controller board for CNCs with a laser would work, but I saw that you can also buy the directly compatible mainboards for this laser, would be the easiest because then you know it will properly interface the laser module out of the box.
So I just need to solder to the middle 2 pads and 1 of the outermost for the ground if I am correct?

To make sure that it is D+ and D- I would probably look for 22Ω resistors or so close to the header and solder it there. Switching them up doesn’t damage anything it just doesn’t work so you can swap it if it doesn’t work. Just make sure to not solder to any higher voltage.
I can see that pin 2 and pin 11 are connected on the board as well do I need to connect them as well?
