Throughout the last couple of days I have decided to use my printer and it doesn’t seem to want to cooperate.
Here are some of the issues:
Not sticking to the bed; sticking to the nozzle.
Here is what i did to fix the issue:
Changed the nozzle and bed temperature from preprogrammed to the ones on the spools. I’ve tried different filaments, I’ve put the filament into a dryer and let it for at least an hour this morning just to dry.
What should i do now that the machine is not working properly?
1.) Make sure the build plate is clean. Try iso alcohol.
2.) Adjust Z offset possibly moving nozzle closer to plate.
Check the recommended settings and keep the filament in a dryer for at least 8 hours.

Ok I’ll try that when I get home. Do i just wipe the plate?
Update: I cleaned off the nozzle, I iso alcoholed the print bed but now I’m seeing it stick to the bed more but not wanting to print the item fully. Like it is moving the item but not moving it. I’m now trying to see if a preprogrammed cube will fix the issue. But i have no idea what it could be
All suggestions are greatly appreciated and thank you for your help and support.
I think you need to lower your z offset, seems like you are not squishing the filament into the bed enough.
How would you reset the z offset?
Assuming you are using PLA…
Nozzle about 230°C
Bed about 55°C
You can do a search for Z offset here on the forum also. There are many discussions about it.
On the printer screen:
Settings (Gear icon)/ Expert mode / Z Offset
Use small increments of .050mm at a time for best results.
A “-” sign before the number means you have moved the nozzle closer to the build plate.
Start with the cube. I make mine a little larger to see the results better as you are interested in how the first layer looks for now.
As the printer prints the first layer watch what happens as you move the nozzle closer. As @Bonfireman said it will “squish” the filament on the bed which will make it stick there…
Remember the number you ended up with. On the newest firmware I believer you can save that setting so you won’t have to keep testing it…
Thank you for the information I will definitely try that soon
