Hello!
For the past few month I have been using both a XTool D1 40W and a Creality Falcon 40W to make some some items for my small business. I started out with the XTool about a year ago and then purchased the Falcon due to the better features it had.
I was planning on getting 2-3 more of these lasers, but unfortunately I am having a issue with a sticky dark residue left on the wood which looks quiet bad.
Both lasers are using the same air assist pump(the ones they were packaged with), and with the exact same wood. Power levels are set so that the engraving depth is similar for both machines. Both machines are in identical enclosures with a powerful ventilation system.
The Xtool does leave some dust on the wood, but it is easily cleanable using compressed air and there is no discoloration. The creality leaves a sticky substance which needs to be wiped off with a wet rag and darkens the wood quite a bit.
I have attached pictures of pieces from both lasers. Any idea what could be causing this?
